I’m Vivian Amadi, the founder of the Vivian Amadi blog. I’m exceptionally passionate about providing health, fitness, and wellness advice and helping my readers become the best version of themselves. I started this blog as a tool to reach out to people who might be struggling to live a healthy lifestyle. You are not alone! I’ve been there. Growing up, I hated anything related to healthy eating; I loved my sweets and all the unhealthy foods out there because they tasted better. Even though I like physical activities and often go to the gym, I couldn’t control what goes into my mouth. I was a guilty eater. I battled with an eating disorder throughout high school.

  • Who is Vivian Amadi?

Vivian is an emergency room registered nurse. But before becoming a nurse, I studied computer science at the University of Nigeria, where I earned a bachelor’s degree. After earning my first bachelor’s degree, I enrolled in a computer training institute (NIIT), where I learned SQL and Oracle databases. After getting all this training, I’ve always had a passion for fashion, so I started a clothing business. I opened a clothing store in Abuja, Nigeria, where I lived. In 2016, I moved to the United States. I spent a whole year figuring out which career path to take.

  • I dabbled into different professions and businesses before diving into nursing/healthcare.

I developed an interest in the healthcare sector. In 2018, I enrolled in a nursing program at Lehman College, Bronx, NY, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Nursing has been the most rewarding job I have ever had. My favorite part of my job is meeting people from all walks of life and helping my patients live their healthiest lives.

  • But why Health, Fitness, and Wellness Blog?

Being a registered nurse, meeting and helping my patients to practice a healthy lifestyle informed my decision to start a health, fitness, and wellness blog. I wanted to share my knowledge and experience and help my readers improve their health and stay updated on the best health and fitness deals and tips.

Growing up, I was overweight and tired constantly. I didnt feel pretty enough; I considered healthy eating a punishment. My dad is a health nerd; I still admire him for that. He tried to get me to eat healthily, but I loved my sweets. Throughout my teenage/ adolescent years, a healthy lifestyle did not matter to me. I became an adult and realized how important it is. I started eating better, looking, and feeling my best. But do you have to be skinny to look and feel beautiful? I would say no! I still have my cheat days when I dabble in some sweets.

Losing weight and practicing a healthy lifestyle is a journey; its been a journey for me, and I am still on that journey and loving it. It doesnt happen overnight. Be easy on yourself. I am more than happy to go on this journey with you.

I made some informed decisions on how to manage my health better. I slowly made some lifestyle changes. This blog will provide information to help you make health-informed decisions.
